Irorion

Irorion was founded in late 2025 by Hugh Duffy. It is headquarted in el Hornillo, Spain. It designs, manufactures, and sells system integration products which tipically consist of a video camera, a software program running on a wearable computer, and a head-up display.

The Founders Team

Hugh Duffy (Duff) is the General Director and the original founder. He was CEO of Pacific Consultants LLC, a Silicon Valley company who won the contract from the US army to design and build the prototype Land Warrior system. In 2001, he sold the company to Pemstar, a mid sized contract manufacturer. In 2002 he retired, and in 2004 he moved to the Costa del Sol in Spain. I spent the last 27 years of my professional career in Silicon Vally, California. My last (paying) job was CEO of Pemstar Pacific Consultants, a hardware and software design and manufacturing company. Pacific Consultants largest customer was the US Army, for whom we designed the Electronic Soldier of the future - Land Warrior System.

Land Warrior was the US army’s concept for an electronic soldier. The soldier had a small wearable computer with encrypted WiFi communications and GPS, an electronic sight with laser range finder and digital compass connected to a weapon-mounted video camera, and a head-up display for sighting, maps, and communications. One of the signature features of the system was the ability to “shoot from a concealed position.” The soldier could hold his weapon “around a corner” and target an enemy without being seen. once sighted, the enemy position could be communicated up the chain of command. The GPS location could be sent directly to a remote mortar which could be fired without revealing the soldier’s position.

I sold Pacific Consultants to Pemstar, a large contract manufacturer, in 2000. I retired to Spain in 2004.
